Brey Quick: Journey of the Come Up #3 – Crash’n the Bad Girls Club
So, I get an email from my homie Lee Hester (@TheLeeHester, Artist, Writer, Producer featured on MTV, VH1, etc.) that a track we did together, called “Crash” off my mix tape “Light Year,” was featured on the TV show “Bad Girls Club.” This is my first television feature and I’m very excited about it. “Crash” is a huge, very inspirational song.
Some funny side shit though. One of the chicks from Bad Girls Club, Wilma I think, was hosting the CMJ Rocksmith event at The Samsung Experience in NYC that I performed in. Before I went on stage, I told her how to pronounce my name, how to say SkyedUP and that I’m from North Carolina and she doesn’t have to say “Take ya shirt off, twist it like a helicopter!” She did the exact opposite of everything I told her. She called me “Brie” quick like the cheese! Trick please! How can you fuck up “Brey” (and yes, she actually dropped some line about Petey Pablo smh. Shout out to Petey though.) Ha ha. Funny. Also my Bro @WhiteboyTatted (I don’t know if you know him but he is wild) used to date her I think. Small fucking world.
Getting involved with publishing and alternative avenues to spread my music is something I have ALWAYS wanted done. To have my songs featured on an actual television show is kind of wild! I’m SUPER PLEASED about this because it means I’m taking steps towards becoming an income generating professional in this music industry.
I can’t say enough about Lee Hester, also. CRAZY TALENTED! When I create, I’m always thinking about where the song can go, what groove it can fit in, what radio show will play it, what television show it would go GREAT with, and also where it can take the listener mentally and physically. With that being said, Skyed.

Hopefully “Crash” gets spun a million times.Skyed.
Currently I’m working on more new material. Every day. MUSIC DOESN’T STOP. That’s TRILL life. 24-7-365. I’ve been creating new beats for different artists also. Just recently, my G, HP out of Milwaukee in the FAMO camp released a track I produced called “Boscoe.” The dude is hell of a rapper.

I’ve been concentrating on producing for others and myself. I’m trying to GET IT IN, ANY WAY POSSIBLE. So if any artists want to collab hit me at BREYQUICK@GMAIL.COM. I got work tucked in the waistband. Skyed.
I just want to end this with saying, attack your goals and make it happen. I always knew I would get some sort of feature or recognition for my work, because I believe in myself. I also know that I haven’t done SHIT yet, so I’m still WOLF HUNGRY OUT HERE. Skyed.
