Jesse Woodard has been passionate about music since his early teen years. Now, at 25, Jesse is known as rapper and producer Chase N. Cashe, who has made tracks for some of the hottest names in music today, such as, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Dom Kennedy. “Rapping and producing has always went hand in hand for me so there is not one that I prefer more, I always had to rap over beats I made to see how they would sound before I sold them so I love both,” says Cashe. “When I first started working in music for monetary purposes, the producing is what did it for me.”

Chase N. Cashe is a New Orleans native that decided he would chase his dreams at the age of 17 when he packed up and left for California. He grew up heavily influenced by producers like Timbaland and Mannie Fresh. “All I knew at 17 was that Hollywood is where I needed to be if I was going to make it, I didn’t know about the music scene in New York at the time so Cali was where I felt I had to be,” explains Cashe. It was 2006 when Cashe linked up with his team the Surf Club via Myspace. The Surf Club consists of producers and artists like Hit-Boy and Chill Kay. “The Surf Club members represent Cali, the beaches and keeping shit wavy so I joined adding my flare to the club,” says Cashe.

Artists like Lil Reese, Chief Keef, and Lil Durk are who Cashe hopes to make music with next. “I noticed that Chicago has been making a lot of noise in music lately and I like what I hear from them,” adds Cashe. “I also like Chance the Rapper he’s very lyrical and kind of reminds me of Common when he was just starting out.”

Cashe mentions how proud he is to be a part of the new generation of hip-hop music and the legends that are in the making. “It’s great to have support from niggas my age doing it like me, J. Cole, Drake, and A$AP Rocky and I have always been supportive of each other,” says Cashe.
