In our latest feature for We’re With The DJ, we catch up to Noetik FiveThousand who we’ve known in the Pittsburgh scene for some time. DJ’ing, hosting, promoting, booking, Noetik does it all. Check out a few things you need to learn about our good friend.

What’s on your current playlist?

All of Das Racist albums, Anything by MMG (Maybach Music Group), Various B-More Club & NOLA Bounce Remixes of songs.

Have any side hu$tles?

Assist booking agencies and indie artists with show bookings through my promotions & booking company www.nucpromotions.com

Favorite album of all-time?

This is a hard one to choose but I will have to go with BDP “Edutainment” because that is the time when the Hiphop Culture was going through a change of times and I was too as a teen trying to learn the truth about my life & my surroundings.

What DJ inspires you the most and why?

A-Trak because he is so diverse when it come to rocking a party plus he accomplished so much when he was only like 15 years old from battling other djs and being a 5 time DMC champ to djing for Kanye West to now running his own label.  All that to me is definitely inspiration from a DJ perspective truly.

Craziest DJ booth incident?

DJ’ing while a girl is grinding on you for multiple songs and still keeping the mix going. It’s a task!

Most requested song that you hate?

Carly Rae “Call Me Maybe” am I saying this right? That’s how much I hate that song.

1^st response in your head to a song requested?

Oh damn here we go again.

A DJ should NEVER….  

Worry about another DJ. Stay focused on what you feel is real.
