JENESIS Year End: Favorite R&B Releases

The faces and sounds of R&B has been changing a lot in the past few years. We’ve been waiting for some individuals who would come in and dominate in the genre once again and 2012 proved to bring in some heavy hitters. Frank Ocean, who rocked everyone this year with Channel Orange. has been on a lot of “Album of the Year” list and is a Grammy favorite. The Weeknd who has traveled a familiar path of making a huge dent in the game quickly, has been a mysterious favorite of many while at first he only released music rarely making any appearances until his first few shows. Since “Sure Thing” hung around a bit and finally took over airwaves, Miguel has been the go to crooner of a few artist such as Wale and will be staying around for a while. Purchase each of their projects below.
