After surprising listeners with his first two singles “Throwed” and “Trouble” Pittsburgh native artist ‘Lights’ has his hometown in anticipation of his freshman mixtape Fade To Black which released today, July 6th. 

The project is refreshingly original-something he feels “The Hip Hop scene in this city is lacking.” Inspired by this belief and the ups and downs he’s facing throughout his own life, the Fade To Black experience will give you a way to relive, a chance to reflect, and a reason to rejoice-no matter what life is throwing your way. When asked how he got his stage name, Lights simply replied “My mission is to let my pain shine through the music, and the only way to achieve that is by keeping my lyrics at a personal level so that each line is either thought provoking, witty, or a combination of both. I want my listeners to feel like they know me, I want them be able to shine like lights in dark situations.” One thing is for certain, his ability to consistently deliver lyrical verses tailored to a wide range of mainstream, Motown, and one surprising UK sample, gives Fade To Black a versatile sound sure to be a problem for your rewind button.
