Nas “Life Is Good” Reaches The Top Spot
By: Me Shach Hopkins
Nas has done it yet again. His album “Life Is Good” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart, making this his sixth studio album to reach the top spot. Neilsen SoundScan reports that the album sold 149,000 copies in its first week. With those numbers still increasing, expect “Life Is Good” to reign on the top spot for weeks to come. “Life is Good” brings an 80’s – 90’s style of Hip-Hop into the 21st century, easily making this album one of Nasir’s greatest. A large portion of the album is dedicated to his beloved Ex-wife, Kelis; however, there are track on the album that everyone can enjoy. There aren’t too many features on the album but you will enjoy them all. You must listen to this album. “Life is Good” is a huge contribution to Hip-Hip/Rap as a genre and culture. Don’t steal this album support the music. Congratulations to Large Professor, Saalam Remi, and Nasir Jones on behalf of Jenesis Magazine for creating such a work of art. Hip-Hop was long overdue for this album.
