[Under The Radar] Rich and Fameus: Progression & Growth
Article by Tip Hicks (@datz_trizzy)
Growing up in and out of the New York projects, Michael and Rich Gamble were exposed to both sides of urban life. In return, they were introduced to a “mix of music and customs” that has influenced their eclectic sound of “alternative hip hop.”
“We grew up in the projects in Bronx, NY and also spent time in the suburbs so we bring you both worlds together through the music!”
The Miami-based twins, Rich and Fameus, are giving fans music with a unique energy. They have created a sound that is “merging the world of hip-hop with a hint of rock.” Recently the dynamic duo has blazed the stage at BET Wild Out Wednesday & received coverage by MTV Buzzworthy.
Their follow up mixtape Your Boyfriend’s Nightmare, heavily co-signed & hosted by the legend Don Cannon, showcases the versatility of the group. The mixtape features RnB/Hip Hop songs such as “Girl You Got It” and “I’m On It,” and diversity using the electric guitar on “Right Here,” “T-Shirts and Snapbacks,” and the anthem to their movement “Red Cup Nation.”
