What prompted your start for your career path?

My cousin/co-producer C Wills and I grew up listening to a lot of Pharrell , Lupe, & Kanye. That era of music and the culture behind it really influenced us and molded who we are today. Like any other kid, we just wanted to be like the people we looked up to. Once we realized we were actually good at making music and had a passion for it, we decided to take it serious. Which was roughly around 2011.

Who first recognized your talents and what it meant to you?

My brother Jetpack Jones was the first artist with an actual platform/ fan base that recognized my talents and seen my potential. He’s helped me grow as an artist and pushed me to step out of my comfort zone as a producer. Working with him and the Jetpack Movement has impacted my career and mind set tremendously.

First problem you have come across?

Nothing too serious. No rap beefs or lawsuits lol. Mainly mechanical issues like hard drive crashes in the past.

As an up and coming artist what was it that you have seen that you needed to improve on?

As an artist it took me a while to get comfortable with my voice. I use to think my voice lacked character and was too dry for rap [laughs]. It eventually grew on me, but that was definitely something that I felt insecure about at one point that I’ve improved on. As a producer, I started out with a really repetitive sound. I knew I had to be more diverse while keeping a signature sound at the same time. I’d say I’m pretty good at that now.

How will you make an impact given a chance? Why should people take notice in your work?

Personally I feel that I’ve already made an impact among the people that are watching me grow. But that’s a small scale. Once I have a bigger platform, I want my listeners to feel like they can go accomplish anything. Not only through the content of my music, but through my accomplishments and my attitude towards life.

What are your Top 5 albums or mixtapes of all time?

Personally I would have to say:

“Pharrell Williams – In My Mind’ , “Lupe Fiasco – The Cool” , “Dom Kennedy – From The WestSide With Love 2” , “Drake – Thank Me Later” & “PartyNextDoor – PARTYNEXTDOOR”.

Not because they had the best content or because I think they’re the greatest artist, but because of how these projects impacted me personally & made me feel. The way they made me feel actually made a difference in my life at the time. I’m sure they still affect me to this day on some subconscious level. It’s all about vibes man.

Where do you see your career in the next 10 years

10 years from now I’ll be seen as more the just an iconic Recording Artist/Producer. I’ll be more of a business mogul. Who knows what other avenues I’ll venture down. Only time will tell. You heard it here first.
