[Style] What Every Woman Needs (In her closet)

As a fashionista and an aspiring fashion stylist I’m all about personal style. For me personal style is being able to tell who you are without saying anything. There will always be garments that will work for you and that will not work for you. Who you are as a person factors what defines your personal style. You never want to wear something that isn’t “you”. That being said, I do believe there are key pieces every woman should include into her wardrobe. These pieces are versatile, stylish, and can be worn in your own way to compliment your personal style. Here is my list of wardrobe essentials:

A fresh white T. A simple white t-shirt can be dressed up and down easily. They’re so simple, stylish and sexy. Think of this as your blank canvas, you can find 50 ways to rock this. There is no need to spend stupid amounts of money on a T-shirt. Instead go for reasonable priced ones and then restock after so many washes. Keep them fresh, this is the key.

A comfortable pair of heels. I’m not saying go blow your life savings on a pair of Red Bottoms, but you should invest in a great pair of heels that can be worn season to season.  Heels with leather soles and a bit of platform beneath the toe are key to staying comfortable.  So instead of having 5 pairs of mediocre heels that leave you with blisters, invest in a comfortable pair that can be worn with practically anything season to season.  In the long run you’ll end up saving yourself money and pain. Think quality over quantity.

Fly sneakers.   A real lady knows when to dress it up with a pair of heels and when to keep it fresh with a pair of sneakers. I highly recommend Jordan III’s. Despite if your boyfriend has a pair, get them. Black Cements go with everything. So comfy too.

A Bold Blazer. I’m a big fan of blazers. They make me feel  “boss” and instantly sharp. Make sure when you’re shopping for a blazer it has great structure to it. You want it to keep it’s form and stay in shape. Blazers should fit you snugly but not too tight. They can be dressed up, down, used for business purposes and more. Stick with a single button style to keep it versatile for many different looks.

Gold Piece. Make a statement with your jewelry and let it be eye catching. A gold watch, statement necklace, a stack of bangles and gold hoops are my must haves.

A Leather Bag. Whether it is embellished, fringed, or strappy, leather will always be a good look. Leather is a classic and will never go out of style. A leather bag can transform your simple Jeans and T-shirt into something much more fashionable. I prefer black for a sleek and stylish look.

Statement Shades. Sunglasses are icing on the cake when it comes to any outfit. From Cat eye, to aviators, to over-sized frames they all complete an outfit with a fly finish. You won’t catch me without these babies on:
